Gallup's brand-new poll on American pride, days before the Fourth.

Friend,

Back home near New Ulm, the flag flew over our place every day. Nobody had to
explain why.

So a poll Gallup put out this week stopped me cold. Just 29% of Democrats say
they're extremely or very proud to be American. That's the lowest Gallup's ever
recorded for the party. 90% of Republicans said yes.

Read that again. One side is walking away from the country it's asking to run.

Out here in southern Minnesota we still stand for the anthem and mean it. We
teach our kids what the Fourth actually celebrates. None of that's
old-fashioned. It's worth fighting for, and this year it's on the ballot.

If you agree that our country is still worth fighting for, I hope you’ll have
my back.
