Dear John,
Please forgive the lengthy letter, but we’re celebrating an emotional moment
in our nation’s history,and every word I’ve written comes straight from the
heart.
250 years ago, the greatest, freest, and most prosperous nation in history was
born.
Our Founding Fathers boldly took on the world’s largest empire to declare our
independence and proclaim that our rights and freedoms do not come from
government – but fromAlmighty God Himself.
When Benjamin Franklin was asked what sort of government America has, he said…
“A Republic, if you can keep it…”
Those words send a shiver down my spine every time I read them.
You and I both know firsthand how hard we must work to keep it.
We’ve all witnessed how close our Republic has come to the brink. How many
times have we seen our freedoms get trampled on?
…Our freedom of speech, our Second Amendment rights, our religious liberties,
our right to privacy, our right to make medical choices, our right to leave our
home during the COVID lockdowns, our right to run a business, our right to
private property – and so many more – have all been challenged time and time
again by those who wish to see our Republic fail.
But every single time there’s been even the smallest encroachment on our
freedom, patriots like YOU have recalled the courage and resilience of our
Founding Fathers and stood up in the name of liberty.
And by God, America has survived 250 years as a Free Republic.
As we celebrate this incredible milestone in not just American history but
world history, we cannot forget that the enemies of freedom are still hard at
work.
So my question to you is this: will you do your part to keep it?
