Friends-

Last week a 95-year-old WWII veteran wrote a letter

to the editor on how Congressman Max Rose and his office did not assist
him after he sought help to get his certificate of citizenship.

In fact, after receiving the run around, the WWII veteran only received
one return email from Max Rose's office. "We'll look into it."

After I saw Isidore Bertone's letter to the editor, I connected with
his family, called the White House and the U.S. Citizenship &
Immigration Services and with four days (this past Tuesday) Isidore
Bertone was formally sworn-in

at his home in Staten Island as a citizen of the United States after
waiting 80 years.

It was an honor to have witnessed the swearing-in of an American hero.

Too many Americans don't appreciate that they are citizens of the
greatest nation in the world. For this 95 year old WWII veteran, it was
the only thing he wanted.

It was an honor to help this hero from the Greatest Generation obtain
his official certificate of citizenship.
