Special #EladPod on Voting in Missouri: Tonight Live at 6 PM

Friends,

A lot of you have asked me what I plan to do now. I'll give you some updates below. But first, I want to take a moment.

Hurricane Laura has made landfall. It's expected to move north through Missouri. The damage has already begun. You can donate to the Community Foundation of Southwest Louisiana.

I'm going to say it again, and I'll continue to say it: Missouri needs a Civil Rights Division, and the United States Department of Justice needs a fully-supported Civil Rights Division. We cannot have a crime plan, an education plan, a health care plan, or any other kind of plan without addressing accountability, ending the injustice, and protecting the civil rights of every person in our country. I encourage you to engage with your local government, to learn who your state representative and state senator is, and to express your views to them. Make them listen to you, make them understand the urgency of the moment, and build power with your neighbors to send these officials home when they won't do their jobs.

So first, tonight on the #EladPod, I'll have Eric Fey, the Democratic Director of the St. Louis County Board of Elections. Eric is one of the most voting-informed folks I know, and I'm excited he'll be on live to answer any of your questions. You won't want to miss this one! 6 PM CT.

Bring your questions and ask them live. We'll be on our Facebook page, on Twitter, on YouTube, and at EladGross.live, where you can also see our previous episodes. We also have a podcast, which you can subscribe to wherever you get yours.

If you have an idea for a show, please let me know.

Second, I've accepted the position of Outreach Coordinator for the St. Louis Mediation Project.

I spoke a lot about housing issues all over our state. We are facing an eviction crisis. The St. Louis Mediation Project is a partnership between amazing lawyers, Washington University, the St. Louis Equal Housing and Opportunity Council, and USA&M to help mediate landlord-tenant issues in court and before a lawsuit is filed.

I helped create a resource flyer that is being shared by the St. Louis County courts. You can see it here.

If you need help, or if you would like to help, please let me know. You can still email me here. Although my current work is in the St. Louis area, I'm happy to help wherever you are.

Third, I'll be advising the Missouri coordinated campaign. My focus will be on making your voice heard in the process. If you have issues, events, or needs you want the coordinated campaign to know about, please contact me. I'll be speaking with Austin and his staff regularly.

I loved working with all of you in all parts of Missouri. Next week, I'll send a questionnaire asking you what you would like to see in Missouri and what you need help with.

Fourth, I've got a Sunshine Law case to win. My case against the Governor and the Attorney General continues. I'm hearing from folks throughout Missouri about the impact my litigation has already had on ensuring public access to public records. I will continue to fight for transparency, to push ethics reforms, to end dark money, and to make sure our government represents us.

Problem is there are a lot of folks who can't stand sunshine, including...

The Return of Greitens
Unfortunately, perhaps my biggest opponent for the last three years, former Governor Eric Greitens, is trying to make a comeback. Many months ago, he told a group of Republicans in Warren County that he intended to write a new book, serve in the Navy again, and run for United States Senate in 2022.

He's already campaigning. He is using his old campaign account to make videos, promote his attacks on his enemy-of-the-day, and claim that he was wrongfully ousted from office.

Eric Greitens is a fraud. He sold our state to the highest bidder using a dark money fake charity he engineered with the help of national political operatives. He extracted millions of dollars from Missourians and sent it out of this state to promote himself. He even stole from his own veterans' charity, an organization I once worked with and supported. He was willing to do anything for power. He's lucky not to be sitting in prison right now.

For the last two years, I've been the only one willing to stand up to him. He won't be making a corrupt comeback without a fight. I guarantee it.
Request Your Mail-In/Absentee Ballot
I updated VoteMissouri.org so you can request your absentee and mail-in ballots for the general election electronically. There is now a robust Frequently-Asked-Questions page, helpful flow charts, and a way for you to connect with a notary or volunteer as one. You can also register to vote and check your registration.
