Friend,
Today, we celebrate 250 years of American independence, courage, and possibility.
From the moment our Founders declared that our rights come from God, not government, America has been the world's greatest experiment in liberty. Generation after generation has built, defended, improved, and renewed that promise.
That is worth celebrating.
We celebrate the Illinois men and women who wore the uniform. The Illinois families who built neighborhoods, farms, small businesses, churches, and communities. The Illinois parents who still believe their children should inherit more freedom, not less. And, all citizens who refuse to give up on this country because they know what America has always been capable of becoming.
Here in Illinois, specifically, we celebrate the party of Lincoln. Our party that believes freedom is still worth defending, opportunity is still worth expanding, and common sense is still worth fighting for.
Our nation has faced hard chapters. But every time America has been tested, patriotic citizens have stepped forward to meet the moment.
That is our charge today.
Illinois Republicans are building a stronger, freer, more hopeful future rooted in the values that made America exceptional: faith, family, freedom, hard work, personal responsibility, and love of country.
