I hope you’re preparing for a relaxing 4th of July weekend and that whatever you’re doing, you stay cool!

As we spend this weekend celebrating 250 years of progress toward fulfilling the promise of a free and fair nation for all, we’re also recommitting ourselves to the work of creating a more perfect union.

We do so with clear eyes: our democracy is being tested, too many families are being left behind, and the promise of America still has not been fully secured for every person who calls this country home.

But the work of America has always been unfinished. So we keep fighting, keep organizing, and keep building a country worthy of its highest ideals.

That’s our promise, and we hope you’ll join us in this fight.
