This Independence Day, Americans across our great nation will gather with
family and friends to celebrate something truly special: 250 years of the Great
American Experiment.



Two and a half centuries ago, our Founders risked everything on what was then
a radical idea: individuals - not kings, elites, or hereditary rulers - should
hold the power of how to govern themselves.



Today, we celebrate their wisdom and boldness to establish a nation always in
pursuit of a more perfect union. We can also honor the brave men and women who
have defended our freedoms, and recommit ourselves to preserving the values of
life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.





As we celebrate today, let us never take our freedom for granted. As former
U.S. President Ronald Reagan said:“Freedom is never more than one generation
away from extinction.”



From my family to yours, I wish you a safe and joyful Independence Day. May
God continue to bless you, your family, and the United States of America.
