Trump went into full attack mode after the Supreme Court ruled against him
in a voting rights case yesterday.
He is holding Congress hostage until lawmakers pass his SAVE America Act,
an extreme voter ID bill. "There is only one reason to oppose — CHEATING!"
Trump ranted on Truth Social.^1 His MAGA loyalists in the House refuse to
move any legislation forward until the Senate passes one of the worst
voter suppression bills in modern history.^2
Lawmakers must stand firm against the SAVE America Act and all of Trump's
unconstitutional moves to rig the elections.

Under Trump’s bill, people can’t register to vote or update their
registrations without a passport or original birth certificate — documents
that 21 million people don’t have ready access to. Tens of millions of
women who’ve changed their last names after marriage and may not have a
passport or birth certificate with their current last name could be
effectively disenfranchised.
And every single voter would need to show a government-issued photo ID
with an up-to-date address and current name before casting a ballot.^3
Trump and his allies use his far-right conspiracies that the 2020 election
was stolen from him because of "mass noncitizen voting" to justify passing
the SAVE America Act. It's all made up to rig the midterms and pass his
authoritarian policies.
MAGA's election scheme is coming to a head — lawmakers must take urgent
steps to protect our voting rights.
