On July 21st, Arizona voters will choose the Democratic nominees who will carry our banner into November, and the stakes could not be higher. This is the first Arizona election cycle in which gubernatorial nominees will run on a joint ticket with a lieutenant governor candidate, and Democrats have characterized this race as a chance to deliver something Arizona hasn't seen in 60 years: a full Democratic trifecta. Here's what's on your ballot this month: ✅ Governor — Katie Hobbs Governor Katie Hobbs is running for a second term against two sitting Republican congressmen who want to drag Arizona backward. A strong Democratic showing in the primary sends an unmistakable message heading into November. ✅ Attorney General — Kris Mayes Kris Mayes is unopposed in her primary and ready to face down whichever Republican emerges on July 21st. She has been our firewall against the Trump administration — and she needs a strong Democratic wave behind her in November. ✅ Secretary of State — Adrian Fontes Adrian Fontes is unopposed in his primary and up against two Republicans that are eager to make it more difficult for Arizona voters and send our private data to the federal government to fuel conspiracy theories. ✅ Superintendent of Public Instruction Three Democratic educators are running to stop MAGA-driven attempts to kill public education in a state that already ranks near last in school funding. This race will determine who fights for Arizona's kids and teachers for the next four years. ✅ State Legislature All 90 seats in both chambers of the Arizona State Legislature are up for election. Republicans currently hold the majority. Flipping the legislature is how we make the trifecta stick. This is the month everything we've been building toward becomes real.
