For all of us on Team Forstag, this holiday is about taking pride in our communities and in the regular, working-class people who keep this country running. It’s time they had proper representation in Congress.

Freedom should include freedom from homelessness, hunger, and poverty. The freedom to access healthcare and childcare in your community. But right now, millions of Americans are going without. Celebrating our nation means working to ensure everyone can achieve the American Dream.

Sam is running for Congress because he believes that if you work hard, you should be able to afford a good life. That’s what Independence Day means to him.
