We knew heading into the summer months that we would see a dip in our fundraising–it happens every year and we plan for a summer slump. However, this year we have seen a bigger slowdown than expected.
To make matters worse, this comes at a critical time. We've faced budget cuts before, and we don't want to get there again. Plus, we are working hard to recruit volunteers for and cover the upcoming elections—big deals!
For the most part, we have been able to make up the difference by relying more and more on our community fundraising.
