JOHN,
This week, the Washington Post reported a number that should stop you cold: Donald Trump made more than $1 billion from his crypto ventures last year alone.
And that's just the newest figure. Forbes now estimates Trump has nearly tripled his fortune since he started running, to around $6.5 billion by doing exactly what every president for the last half-century refused to do: using the office to enrich himself instead of putting his holdings in a blind trust.
This is what corruption looks like when no one will stop it. A president turning the government into a family business, and a Congress that looks the other way because it's too bought, too timid, or too loyal to do its job.
Someone has to hold this president accountable. The Constitution built an entire branch of government to do exactly that. Right now, that branch is asleep.
Who do you trust to actually hold Donald Trump accountable?
A Navy veteran who spent 21 years responsible for other people's lives and won't take a dime of corporate PAC money? Or a politician bought and paid for by corporate interests and DC insiders — or Rob Wittman himself, who's spent nearly two decades proving he will never cross this president?
I'm running because I've had enough of watching the powerful cash in while working families foot the bill. I know how to hold power accountable — I did it in uniform, and I'll do it in Congress.
But first I have to win this primary on August 4, and then retire Rob Wittman in November. Chip in $21 today and help me win this fight.
