I can’t believe we only have a week left of August! Time flies when you’re mobilizing voters, helping candidates win elections, and defending democracy.
In Michigan: Our chapter made over 70,000 calls to re-elect Rashida Tlaib to Congress. They also made over 19,000 calls to elect Abraham Aiyash to become the first Yemeni-American in the Michigan State House.
In Minnesota: Ilhan Omar was resoundingly re-elected to Congress on a strong, progressive message, with support from Emgage members like you.
Conservative PACs spent millions of dollars trying to defeat the only two Muslim women in Congress, but we fought back.
If you’re ready to fight back today, make a donation towards our Million Muslim Vote effort right now. We need to raise $21,467 before the end of the month to hire and train organizers in key swing states.
In Florida: We had a 68% win rate for state-wide endorsements- 41 of our candidates won their primary elections. We’ve repeatedly demonstrated the success of our voter turnout work. Our fantastic win rate demonstrates that our approach works, and we are committed to keep our momentum as we reach one million Muslim voters.
It’s time for us to look towards November. We have to do everything we can to defeat Trump.
The good news is — we have a plan: turn out a million Muslim voters on November 3rd.
Donate here to fund our voter outreach before our crucial end of month deadline. Any amount can make the difference.
The grassroots support from our members is what powered these victories and enabled Emgage to uplift champions for Muslim American communities. We have a large group of candidates facing competitive elections this November, and our members across six states are creating infrastructure to ensure we elect progressive candidates at both the federal and state levels.
Will you contribute to our Emgage Action Fund that goes directly to supporting these candidates and empowering our organization to turnout voters?
Thank you for your continued support,
