Create a powerful, unified celebration of America’s founding principles.

Hello friend,

July Fourth is right around the corner, and as America prepares to mark 250
years of independence, we have an opportunity to be more intentional about what
we are celebrating.

The Declaration of Independence was revolutionary. It was the start of the
great American experiment in self-government, rooted in dignity, freedom,
opportunity, the rule of law, limited government, and civic duty.

Why it matters: That story is not finished. We are still writing it as we read
and reflect on this historic document.

We believe veterans, military families, and anyone who loves this country have
a role to play in Leading America Forward.

That is why our “One Small Step”
<[link removed]>
campaign is crucial this year.

It gives Americans simple, meaningful ways to reflect on our history,
commemorate our founding principles, and take action in their own communities.

Last month, the Georgia chapters of CVA, The LIBRE Initiative, and Americans
for Prosperity helped bring that mission to life at the Georgia Liberty Ball.

In addition to the hundreds of friends, neighbors, and patriots in attendance,
special guests like formerU.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy and Secretary of Veterans
Affairs Doug Collins gathered in Atlanta for an evening of pride and reflection.

Below, you can see Gowdy (left) discussing America’s rich history with an
attendee during the event, as well as thepacked ballroom (right) listening as
speakers shared a message of freedom, service, and civic responsibility.

From the first speech to the final dance, the message was clear: When millions
of Americans take One Small Step together, we can move our nation toward a
freer, stronger future.

There’s another connection for veterans.

That is, the idea that service doesn’t end when you take off the uniform. This
duty to continue service while remembering our founding values is behind
everything we do at CVA.

This month, fulfilling that duty is simple and takes an average of seven
minutes.

Relive history with us. Download July’s One Small Step toolkit and pledge to
read the Declaration by July Fourth.
