Friends,
This July 4, Trump wants the country celebrating while fascism consolidates its grip. We refuse.
Instead we'll be in DC to declare the truth: America at 250 is ruled by an illegitimate fascist regime on track to destroy the world.
Refuse Fascism has now secured a permit at McPherson Square, just blocks from the White House, where we will rally and march to make one demand impossible to ignore: The Trump Fascist Regime Must Go - NOW!
As our America at 250 statement warns:
"Refusing to face this reality is unconscionable. Accommodation and conciliation with this fascism is immoral."
But it also points to the possibility before us:
"Fascism is advancing. But the more Trump commits outrageous acts of state repression and blunders internationally, the more legitimacy the regime loses. Divisions at the top of society could further widen, holding the possibility for the sleeping giant of the people to awaken and rise."
History can change quickly.
A situation could emerge where millions refuse to cooperate with this regime and pour into the streets. As the statement asks:
"If that moment comes, will there be a force capable of demanding and settling for nothing less than the removal of the Trump Fascist Regime? Or will the moment slip away?"
Whether that moment slips away depends in part on what we do now.
That is why TRUMP MUST GO NOW needs to be seen, heard, and felt everywhere—planting a pole as a real demand and a dividing line between living with or stopping a Trump fascist America.
We have also been inspired by the courage and conviction of Jason Watson an active-duty Air Force Major who yesterday, risked prosecution, imprisonment, and the end of his military career by engaging in nonviolent civil disobedience to demand the removal of Trump and Vance. He chose conscience over compliance.
His example must not stand alone. It must be joined by thousands more people stepping forward to make TRUMP MUST GO NOW a demand that cannot be ignored.
For those within driving distance of Washington, D.C. on July 4, be there. Bring your friends and family. Make "In the Name of Humanity, We Refuse to Accept a Fascist America" ring out in front of the White House—inspiring people across this country and around the world, and connecting them with a movement determined to make those words a reality.
