Next week, thousands of Christians United for Israel (CUFI) delegates from across the country representing all fifty states will go up to Capital Hill and make the case for the following four policy positions:

INARA: Congress Must Review Any Iran Deal

This isn’t a question so much as a reminder. This a country governed by laws, and amongst that body is the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act. As the name suggests this means that any deals with Iran that relate to its nuclear program (so any deals with Iran) must be reviewed by Congress, among other certification requirements.

This includes any and all side deals, gentleman’s agreements, backroom bargains, “provisos or quid pro quos.”

The DETERRENT Act: Save the Kids

The DETERRENT Act requires disclosure of all foreign gifts and contracts from China, Iran, Russia, and North Korea at any dollar amount, and all other foreign gifts above $50,000. It also creates a searchable public database and threatens Title IV consequences for institutions that refuse to comply.

This legislation is bipartisan and common sense: most people support academia for altruistic reasons. Our adversaries do not. In that context, we should, at least, know who’s trying to manipulate and undermine American education.

The Eastern Mediterranean Gateway Act: An Increasingly Angry Turkey

As Ankara increases its belligerence towards the west and supporting terror, while simultaneously enjoying certain elements of western largesse, we should prepare for the future. This bill designates the Eastern Mediterranean as a formal U.S. policy priority area and strengthens reporting on energy security, defense cooperation, and bilateral programs.

The U.S.–Israel Futures Act: Looking at the Horizon

From the battlefield to the farmer’s market, the return on the investment Jerusalem and Washington make in the U.S.-Israel relationship is measured not only in the tens of thousands of jobs it creates but, more importantly, in lives saved and improved.

Moreover, acknowledging and preparing for tomorrow’s war, does note create a forever war. We need to be prepared and we need to invest in what works. This bill strengthens joint U.S.–Israel defense technology cooperation across missile defense, counter-UAS, AI, directed energy, cyber, and biotechnology.

If you’re unable to join us in Washington, please click here to add your voice to those standing with Israel in support of these vital policies at this pivotal moment in history.

Sincerely,

The CUFI Action Fund.
