John,
My name is Jacob, and my mom, Abbey, is the Executive Director and co-founder of Teachers Unify to End Gun Violence.
As a teacher impacted by the Sandy Hook tragedy, she has dedicated her life to making sure other educators and families never have to experience what ours did.
This month marks two years since she left teaching to become the full-time Executive Director of Teachers Unify. She may have left her classroom, but she hasn't stopped fighting for kids.
Will you sign a card congratulating my mom on two years of leading Teachers Unify full-time? Please take a minute to add your name and leave a short message if you can. I can't wait to show her just how many people are grateful for her leadership and commitment to creating safer schools.
I've watched her spend the last two years traveling across the country, supporting educators after tragedies, training teachers to become advocates, and building a movement that makes sure educators have a voice in the fight to end gun violence.
I know she'd never ask for recognition herself, but I think this milestone deserves to be celebrated.
So, if you have 25 seconds, can you sign the card for my mom? It would mean so much for her to hear from the community she’s worked so hard to build.
Thank you for helping me surprise my mom.
With gratitude,
Jacob Clements, Abbey's Son
