FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Dear John,

Enough is enough.

The riots, looting, burning of buildings and vehicles, assaults on citizens and police, shootings and death from violent protests—all need to stop!

(In a moment, I will share with you what YOU can do to positively impact this situation.)

When a major political party takes actions that harm children or families; destroy family owned businesses; restrict our churches or threaten our religious freedom; or jeopardize our future as a country, we have no alternative than to call them out.

THIS is one of those times.

To be clear, we are a non-partisan organization, and yes, we have at different times called out both parties for different reasons.

The four-day Democratic National Convention took place last week. Blatantly missing from the convention was any meaningful address of one of the most significant historical and dangerous issues at this moment. The recent riots, looting, destruction and burning of buildings, and the physical harm to citizens were not addressed at all!

These riots and their destruction have been largely held in Democratically controlled cities, by liberal protestors.
This was the Democrat Party’s opportunity to show true leadership and denounce the violence and destruction and call for order. But they did not.

Instead, they referred to peaceful protests. In my opinion, this only served to stoke the fires of hate, anger and unrest, and embolden those who would riot. The violence and destruction should have been firmly denounced last week, front and center at the Democrat National Convention, as it is being clearly denounced in this week’s Republican National Convention.

The preamble of the Democrat Party platform states, “That protest is among the highest forms of patriotism.”

What we are seeing in Portland, Chicago, now Kenosha and spreading like wildfires across the landscape of our nation is certainly not “protest” as most people think of that term. These are riots, not peaceful protests.

And the sheer lawlessness and violence we have seen escalating in recent months is not patriotism.

Now, in our own Kenosha we have not only riots, burned buildings and family-owned businesses completely destroyed, we have a shooting resulting in two deaths on Tuesday night.

Some local Kenosha residents believe that some participating in the riot were from Milwaukee, Madison or Illinois. While the situation is under investigation, a 17-year-old male from Illinois was arrested as the suspected shooter.

While some will justify the riots as a response to police brutality or racism, there is no justification for the violence and destruction. And for the record, we believe that both police brutality and racism are wrong as well. There should be no place for either in our American society.

EVERY life matters: Jacob Blake, George Floyd, and every unborn baby whose little body was attacked and brutally killed in the womb.

Now is the time for you and me to ACT.

Please join me and together, let’s do these three things:

PRAY

  • Pray for safety of law enforcement personnel, innocent citizens, and that protestors will truly demonstrate peacefully.
  • Pray for the protection of businesses, churches, government and personal property.
  • Pray for our country and all elected officials.
  • Pray for the upcoming election and direction of our country.
