I’m writing to you today to talk about my friend, Dr. Cameron Webb. We have a real chance to flip the 5th for the first time since 2010, and I believe in Cameron’s ability to lead the change we need.

Cameron and I share the belief that to effectively represent people you need to listen more than you talk. We were together just yesterday, and I’m always struck with his focus on the wellbeing of his district. Not just physical health — he’s focused on building healthier communities that provide the kind of opportunity that allows everyone an equal chance to succeed and thrive.

Don’t get me wrong, health care is an essential part of his platform, too. That was the focus of our event in Charlottesville on Tuesday. I firmly believe that as we continue to face a global pandemic, there’s no better person to represent Virginia’s 5th Congressional District. I have faith that Cameron will bring with him his years of service to central Virginia, his expertise as a doctor and a lawyer, and his Southside roots with him to the halls of Congress. His voice is one that is sorely needed.

Cameron will be a fierce advocate for all of his constituents and will fight for opportunities for their health and success. His opponent has been saying simply outrageous things — things that are meant to tear us apart and simply don’t line up with Virginia values. Cameron is committed to bringing folks together, to making sure that everyone has that fair shot they deserve.
