Hi – I’m Hannah Pingree. I’m a mom, a lifelong Mainer, a fighter, and now, officially the Democratic nominee for governor of Maine!

Listen John, I know your inbox is full of emails from dozens of campaigns, but if there’s one request you meet today, I hope it’ll be this one: Will you take a minute to be one of the first DGA supporters to endorse my campaign for governor? It’s supporters like you, committed and ready to fight, who will take us across the finish line in November.

I am honored to be Maine’s Democratic nominee for governor, and I am even more honored to have you standing by my side.

But the truth is that we can’t take anything for granted in this race:

• Sabato’s Crystal Ball has downgraded this race from “Likely Dem” to “Lean Dem” because there is an Independent candidate in the race who will try to split the vote.
• Maine hasn’t elected two governors in a row from the same party since the 1950s.
• And outside groups, including new super PACs, will be spending big to flip Maine RED.

But I know we can win – because this campaign is about Maine's potential, ensuring a bright future for our kids and for those struggling to get by. And especially now, it’s about standing up to a reckless president who doesn’t care about Mainers.

You and I both know the future of Maine is worth fighting for, John – and now, we have just a few months to cross the finish line and win this race.

So please, I’m personally asking: Will you take a chance on this critical race and endorse my campaign for governor before midnight? The DGA and I are looking for at least 5,000 Democrats like you to step up and be some of the first endorsements to this campaign. We’re counting on this team – more than we ever have before – to win in Maine and in battlegrounds across the country.
