I have to be honest with you.
Last night, after our midnight deadlin e passed, I sat down and read through the notes and messages that have come in over these past few weeks. The stories people shared. The reasons they gave. The families who wrote to tell me that what we're building with Equal Opportunity Now feels like exactly what they've been waiting for.
I was moved in a way I didn't expect.
This wasn't supposed to be an emotional email. But I couldn't let July 1st pass without just saying — simply and directly — thank you.
Thank you for believing in this. Thank you for showing up in our first week, our first month, our first quarter. Thank you for sharing your own stories, your own struggles, your own hopes for what this country can still be.
My father used to say that whatever you do, make sure this country is there for the next families who need it. I started Equal Opportunity Now because I believe that's still possible. And you've spent these past three weeks reminding me why.
Let's keep building something worth fighting for.
