*New Options for Voters Returning a Mail Ballot*

New options to return an early ballot

New voting options are available for the 2026 Primary Election under a recently enacted state law, giving voters added flexibility when returning an early ballot.

During early and emergency voting, voters can verify their ID at a vote center when dropping off their early ballot. On Election Day, voters can show ID and have their early ballot tabulated at a Vote Center and that ballot will be included in Election Night results.

Voters may still return an early ballot by mail or via a secure drop box. At a voting location, voters can still skip the line and drop off an early ballot.
