Friends, if you tuned in to the Republican National Convention on Monday, you probably heard from my constituent Ronna McDaniel -- she's the RNC Chairwoman, and she took the podium to shamelessly promote Trump's destructive and divisive agenda once again.

As Ronna's Congresswoman, I can't let her give our district a bad name -- will you chip in to my re-election campaign to keep Ronna's home district blue? There's nothing she and Trump would love more than to see us fall short.

Ronna McDaniel was loyal to Trump before anyone took him seriously. Under her leadership, the RNC paid Trump's legal fees during the Russian interference investigation and hosted Trump's "Fake News Awards." She's enabled him at every turn.

Ronna's far-right extremism is out of touch with real Michiganders. Yet in her speech, Ronna immediately cast herself as a "real housewife and a mom from Michigan." That's because Republicans know that Trump's only path to re-election leads through Michigan -- and through MI-11 in particular.

Trump won this district by 4 points. Two years later, I became the first Democrat elected to represent this district in a generation. This district is leaving Trump behind, but he and Ronna are doing everything they can to try to catch up.

That's why this seat is so critical -- and why Republicans are watching this top-target race closely and spending millions to attack me. But I know that no matter how loudly national Republicans yell, hard-working Michiganders just want reliable jobs and affordable health care -- not whatever lies Ronna's peddling.

Ronna may live in my district, but she certainly doesn't represent it -- I do. With your support, we'll keep it that way.
