JOhn,
As search-and-rescue efforts continue in the wake of 7.2- and 7.5-magnitude earthquakes in northern Venezuela, communities are struggling to access food, medical care, clean water and essential supplies. So far, 1,450 people have been reported deceased, with 3,000 injured, 50,000 missing and 12,000 people displaced. Many families have lost everything and are now focused on surviving the days ahead.
Rise Against Hunger is mobilizing alongside our in-country partners to respond. We are preparing a shipping container of 285,000 Rise Against Hunger meals and other critical aid, including hydration support, baby food and over-the-counter medicines, for distribution to families in need. Through your support, we can provide lifesaving assistance in the aftermath of this disaster.
Every gift to our Global Emergency Relief Fund helps us provide relief where it’s needed most and support communities as they begin the long road to recovery. Will you join us during this critical time?
