We’ll begin by exploring how everyday acts of care can become powerful forms of collective action. Paul Powlesland, environmental lawyer and activist, will share the story of how removing 200+ bags of rubbish from a polluted river led to an investigation by the Environment Agency. Through this, he will show how ecological stewardship itself can be a form of nonviolent direct action, and how ordinary people can take meaningful action without needing permission from broken systems. |
