What you did not see in that video was Scott lashing out or escalating. Even during a scary attack, he stayed calm under pressure and kept his focus where it has always been: on doing the work.

At a time when politics is full of division, anger, and people trying to tear each other down, Scott is head down on progress.

As a California State Senator, Scott has become one of the most effective LGBTQ rights leaders in the nation. He’s fought to protect trans people, expand civil rights, strengthen access to gender-affirming care, and take on far-right bullies who have publicly threatened and targeted him for years, including Elon Musk, Megyn Kelly, and Fox News.

Now Scott is running to become the first openly LGBTQ person ever elected to represent San Francisco in Congress. That would be groundbreaking.
