John -- During my time as a national surrogate for Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign and as a fighter for working families, I’ve always had a kinship with Sen. Nina Turner. Before COVID, we stumped together for Bernie, and promoted Medicare for All across the South.
That’s why I’m so honored to receive this endorsement. Nina understands we can’t keep electing politicians who either forget where they came from -- or who have never lived working class experiences. Right now, all these millionaire senators feel free to take a break without passing pandemic relief while millions of Americans are wondering how to pay their mortgage or rent, or where their next meal is coming from.
And it’s because they are nowhere near the pain of worrying about having a roof over their heads or a way to feed their families. Well, I know that pain firsthand.
Will you join Nina and support this campaign today? Every dollar gets us that much closer to WINNING this race for the people of West Virginia.
Here’s what Sen. Turner had to say about our campaign:
“Now more than ever, we need elected leaders who are committed to fighting for working families. That is why I am so proud to endorse Paula Jean. I know that having her in the U.S. Senate will get us one vote closer to a government that fights for all of us. It is long overdue for the people of West Virginia to have a Senator that represents their lived experience. Paula Jean will not take marching orders from the special interests that have for so long been responsible for halting progress for so many West Virginians. She will be a Senator for the people. Join me today in supporting her campaign.”
John, you probably know this, but I’ll say it again. I vow to never accept donations from corporate interests. Meanwhile, Shelley Moore Capito has a war chest of corporate money that she spends her time in the Senate repaying.
Not me. I will fight for the people of West Virginia every day I’m in the Senate. And right now, Bernie Sanders needs all the help in the Senate he can get to push for Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, and a way through this COVID nightmare.
If you are able, please join Bernie and Nina and demand better for our country.
Together we CAN do this.
Paula Jean
