![]() For the first time in a long time, I have some genuinely good news to share: today, the Supreme Court struck down Donald Trump's attempt to end birthright citizenship, declaring that the Constitution is still the supreme law of the land. I'm grateful for that decision, but we shouldn't have to keep fighting the same battles every few months because Donald Trump wakes up believing he's a king instead of a president. The fact that this case ever reached the Supreme Court is a reminder of how far he is willing to go to test the limits of our democracy and our Constitution. I was on the House floor on January 6 when a violent mob tried to overturn a free and fair election. I watched firsthand what happens when leaders convince themselves the rules don't apply to them. Or worse, when they convince their supporters of that. The fight to defend the Constitution didn’t end that day, and it didn't end with today's ruling. The only lasting check on Donald Trump is a Congress willing to stand up to him instead of acting as a rubber stamp for whatever unconstitutional or corrupt idea comes next. That's why our June FEC deadline tonight is so important. What we raise before midnight helps us defend this seat, take back the House majority, and make sure there are enough people in Congress willing to protect our Constitution when it matters most. If you're able, will you make a contribution before tonight's FEC deadline? Any amount you can give will help us finish this reporting period as strongly as possible. Thank you, Greg Stanton
