Last night Richard Neal tweeted that he has a plan to end surprise medical billing and that insurance companies are attacking him for it. Sorry, but we couldn’t help but laugh.

Neal can try to spin the truth all he wants, but we know that he killed the original bipartisan bill to end surprise medical billing by introducing a watered down version of the bill at the last minute after he received a $54,000 contribution from Blackstone. Blackstone just happens to be a private equity firm that profits off of surprise medical billing.

In fact, Neal’s bill is actually supported by insurance lobbyists because it wouldn’t fully end the practice of surprise medical billing.

Neal and the establishment are getting desperate, friend. And they’re resorting to lies and slander. We won’t let them get away with it. Instead, in six days, we’re going to replace Neal with a true people’s champion.
