John -- Women are the backbone of our country and the Democratic Party. Just last week, the nation witnessed California's very own Kamala Harris make U.S. history by being the first woman of color to accept a major party nomination for Vice President of the United States of America. Furthermore, California has elected more women to Congress than any other state, with 41 U.S. Representatives elected since 1923. We also have 38 women in the legislature in Sacramento working every day to make California a brighter and more beautiful place for us to live. And in the Party, the majority of our staff is female and we have a thriving women’s caucus (thank you to our chair, Christine Pelosi, for penning a beautiful email for us just last week!) and thousands of women volunteering and helping us every single day. Between you and me, John — I think it’s going to be women that secure our wins in the House, flip the White House AND take back the Senate from Mitch McConnell’s clammy grip.
