Children and their families in Venezuela are facing unimaginable fear and destruction in the aftermath of two deadly earthquakes last week. Homes and buildings collapsed. Schools and hospitals have sustained severe damage. Thousands of children lack access to safe water. UNICEF estimates that 1.8 million people, including 680,000 children, need humanitarian assistance following the earthquakes.

Thanks to supporters like you, 20 tons of supplies arrived in Venezuela over the weekend, where UNICEF teams are on the ground working with local partners and the government to scale up support for children. Another 47 tons of supplies shipped from the UNICEF warehouse in Copenhagen landed in Venezuela on Tuesday. These two shipments are expected to support more than 100,000 people, but the needs are urgent and growing with every passing day.
