I don’t say this lightly: this is Citizens United on steroids.

Today, the Supreme Court’s conservative majority gave yet another green light to
wealthy donors who want to pour unlimited money into our politics and expect
something in return.

Justice Kagan said it plainly in her dissent: this decision opens the door to
the same kind of quid pro quo corruption that campaign finance limits were
designed to prevent.

That should alarm every single one of us.

Because while working people are trying to afford groceries, rent, health care,
child care, and utility bills, the highest court in the land just made it easier
for billionaires and special interests to buy even more influence in our
elections.

I’m running to change that.

I believe our government should work for the people who punch the clock, raise
families, pay taxes, and play by the rules - not the people who can write the
biggest check.

But I’ll be honest: decisions like this make our work harder. The other side is
counting on a flood of big money to drown out the voices of regular people.

We can’t let them.

That’s why I’m asking you today: Will you make a contribution to help us fight
back and build the kind of people-powered campaign that can stand up to the
billionaires and special interests?

When the system gets tilted even further toward the wealthy and well-connected,
we have two choices: give up, or organize harder.
