In just a few days, our team is facing a big fundraising deadline. They’ve asked me to reach out to you personally to help us make sure we get there. Here’s the deal:

  1. COVID-19 has radically changed the face of campaigning. We’ve pivoted over to digital contact, new ads, and distributed organizing to win in November.
  2. Our finance team ran the numbers. We need to raise $25,000 in August to afford these new tools.
  3. Right now, we’re running $7,201 behind on that goal.

Now, for other campaigns, that kind of shortfall might not matter too much. But our campaign is different. We refuse 100% of PAC donations — meaning when we fall behind, there’s no special interest to swoop in and close the gap.

It’s all people like you, chipping in a few dollars to help build a movement that’s owned by the people. Is it a harder way to campaign? Sure. But building a lasting progressive movement to fight for economic justice isn’t supposed to be easy.
