| It’s Women’s Equality Day, which has me reflecting upon the accomplishments women in our country have made. From winning the right to vote to electing a historic class of women to Congress just two years ago, we have come so far. While we have many milestones to celebrate, we also have strides to go before we see true equality. Women still face gender discrimination in education, employment, healthcare and many other spheres. As your Congresswoman, I am dedicated to ending this discrimination and creating an America that treats everyone equally, regardless of their gender. During my time in office I have voted in the best interest of women from all walks of life, and have sponsored numerous bills aimed at improving the lives of women everywhere.
