As non-profit, A Voice for Choice Advocacy cannot endorse a candidate or
tell you who to vote for, but we can tell you how to work out who in your
districts will further California Health Rights and vaccine choice. The
individuals and makeup of the CA legislature (Assembly and Senate) is what
determines what bills get passed and which don't. The 2020 state elections
will decide what will happen in the next 2-4 years, so we recommend you get
involved in the election process. Christina and a few others have been
working on a project, separate from AVFCA, to support this: California
Families for Health Rights. Please go to

help. You are needed to make this successful.

6&id=bd06601985&e=93f2fa311c> (CPOC), among others. California Families
for Health Rights analyzed all 100 California Assembly and Senate district
races, and identified two candidates* who not only have a strong chance of
winning, but are also strategic allies and will make the greatest impact on
our legislature in 2021 - both hopefully removing the Democrat supermajority
and putting more Democrats that question Big Pharma's influence in office..

Now is the time to harness the collective efforts of local activists,
implement a strategic plan, and coordinate activities and resources. With
this goal in mind, CFHR and CPOC invite you to participate in their virtual
kick-off meeting to connect with other local and regional activists to begin
building each candidate's grassroots team.
Virtual Kick-off Meetings (via Zoom):

While there are other candidates that need our help for the elections (see

<[link removed]> ) we are focusing the
majority of our efforts on these two, and ask you to do the same. If these
two win, it would be a huge win for our movement. There is also a full
voter guide for CA Assembly and Senate
([link removed]
ide). If these two races are not your District, please consider
participating in the virtual kick-off meeting as CFHR and CPOC are looking
for regional activists all over CA.
* BACKGROUND ON THE CANDIDATES
Diane Dixon
<[link removed]
6&id=0d226cda8a&e=93f2fa311c> is a Republican running for Assembly District
74, which has historically been a Republican seat until the last election.
Diane is a fiscal hawk, with competent business and mayoral experience, as
well as a strong supporter of family values and the values of her
constituents. Diane will help restore the balance of power and interests in
our state legislature. The incumbent, Cottie Petrie-Norris (D), is not
aligned with the values of our Concerned Parents base.
Ann Ravel
<[link removed]
6&id=9057b4ecc8&e=93f2fa311c> is a Democrat running for Senate District 15
who has dedicated her life to public service and the fight for justice and
equality. She is a distinguished attorney who never backs down, having gone
up against Big Pharma, Big Tobacco, Big Tech, lead paint companies, the
foster care system, the elder care system, and much more. The incumbent
Senator Beall has termed out. Ann's opposition, Dave Cortese (D), is not
aligned with the values of our Concerned Parents base.
