I know I don't have to tell you that caregiving is hard work.

At some point in our lives we will all either give or receive care. Wherever you live in the country, whatever your education level, and no matter your political affiliation, immigration status, sexuality, race, gender, socioeconomic status, or class, care will be a part of your life story.

The question is, what impact does structural oppression have on quality of life, access to premium care, and dignity of the end of life experience? Better yet - what can we do about it?

In an effort to tell the whole truth about caregiving in America and make the case for systemic change, we have partnered with our friends at the National Alliance for Caregiving (NAC) to collect the stories of volunteers from all different backgrounds, identities and lived experiences. The NAC will include these stories as part of a report that shows the ways in which individual identity directly shape and inform the broader caregiving experience.

The interviews will be published by the NAC in an upcoming report in order to give a human touch to the facts and figures about caregiving. Interviews could last 45 minutes to 1 hour and all interviewees will receive a $25 gift card for their time and participation. (Please note that being interviewed does not guarantee your story will be used in the report, but you will receive the gift card either way.)
