The 2020 Republican National Convention has been nothing but a storm of vitriol, fear-mongering, and outright lies. 

Perhaps the most egregious lie is Trump’s claim from night one: "I didn't back down from my promises, and I've kept every single one."

Let's check in on all those promises, shall we?

"I’m not going to have time to go play golf." Trump has visited his golf courses 286 times, costing American taxpayers $140,000,000.

"[COVID will] go away without a vaccine." The virus has killed more than 175,000 Americans, and that number is still climbing.

"I’m not going to cut Social Security like every other Republican and I’m not going to cut Medicare or Medicaid.” Trump's latest budget includes billions in cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, and his proposed payroll tax cut would completely eliminate funding for Social Security in just three years.
