In the lead up to Tuesday’s election, Colorado is facing a stifling heatwave worsened by wildfire smoke — and under the 90+ degree sun, one of our volunteers collapsed from heat exhaustion.

Over the last 3 days, dozens of volunteers and paid Colorado Turnout Project staff canvassed throughout CO’s 8th congressional district in the scorching heat. Our objective is defeating MAGA Rep. Gabe Evans.

We handed out water bottles and set up cooling locations, but unfortunately it wasn't enough.

Thankfully, we were able to get the volunteer who collapsed the care she needed. And the rest of our intrepid volunteers carried on, continuing to battle the heat to get the job done. 

They understand this election is too important to sit it out in the AC.

We knocked over 1200 doors this weekend. In the next 24 hours, we hope to double it.

In the last election, CO-08 flipped from Democratic to Republican control by less than 2,500 votes. This will be one of the closest and consequential in deciding which party controls the House in November.

Colorado Turnout Project is laying the groundwork now to defeat MAGA extremist Gabe Evans.

Every conversation, door, and voter makes a difference.

But we have put everything we have into this fight while voters are tuned in.
