Here's the deal, John --

August is a difficult month for fundraising. We're right smack dab in the middle of the summer slump and donations have slowed down in recent weeks. All this to say, we're tracking behind our end-of-month deadline in less than one week.

So, we've got two options:

1. Either more people need to pitch in before the deadline expires
2. Or, we need folks to contribute just a little bit more than usual
