We are halfway through the year, with fewer than 5 months left until the midterm elections.

So much has already happened this year, including an unprecedented attack on voting rights, an assault on healthcare and Donald Trump’s reckless and costly war of choice in the Middle East.

Gas prices continue to rise, grocery bills have doubled and Republicans are more worried about padding their $300 million war chest than ensuring Americans can afford to live.

Despite Republicans’ incompetent leadership, this election will still be neck-and-neck. Thanks to House Democrats, the latest polls show Trump’s approval rating tanking, and Democrats have a double-digit lead over Republicans. We CANNOT afford to get comfortable. Republicans have spent the past year redrawing congressional maps at Donald Trump’s request and are doing everything they can to silence voters.
