Tomorrow night, the final FEC deadline before our primary election closes, and I wanted the last word before it to be a personal one.

I didn't come from money, and I didn't come from politics.

I was raised by a single mother on food stamps. The Navy gave me 21 years that taught me to live by a simple code: you answer for your decisions, every one of them.
