Dear friends,
[Over 60 parliamentarians]([link removed] have written to our government demanding an investigation into illegal military transfers from the UK to Israel. The letter addresses UK-produced military goods enroute to Israel that were [seized by Belgium authorities]([link removed]) earlier this year, who have now opened a criminal investigation into the shipment. It is believed the seized goods were manufactured by Moog, a US arms company with locations across the UK, such as a factory in Wolverhampton.
[TAKE ACTION NOW]([link removed]
Moog produces components for the M-346 Lavi trainer aircraft, which Israeli forces use as the final stage of training before bombing Gaza in F-35s and F-16s. Our government has [admitted]([link removed]) that the M-346 "facilitates the development of an offensive capability” for Israel. UK-produced trainer aircraft components are being used to [train]([link removed]) genocide pilots.
[TAKE ACTION NOW]([link removed]
Activists have refused to allow this to continue unabated. Despite facing criminalisation for alleged direct action targeting Moog in Wolverhampton, the Moog 4 recently [walked free]([link removed]) from court, as the jury at Birmingham Crown Court did not convict. This is a significant win for the movement fighting to stop our government arming Israel’s genocide of Gaza, and further shows the strength of direct action tactics.
[TAKE ACTION NOW]([link removed]
More pressure must be built on Moog and our government’s role in facilitating its murderous exports. You can click the button above to ask your MP some key questions about the role of Moog and the UK’s export licensing system in facilitating genocide pilot training. Our government’s partial export license suspension on Israel, like the UK [sanctioning]([link removed]) some Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank, feels more about performance than meaningful action.
[TAKE ACTION NOW]([link removed]
How can trainer aircraft components have been exempted from the UK’s partial export license suspension on Israel when they "facilitate the development of an [offensive capability]([link removed])” for its [genocide]([link removed])? And how can the UK’s partial export license suspension on Israel be in any way sufficient when UK exports have breached Belgium’s export controls on Israel? People across the country have questions, and our government must provide answers.
[TAKE ACTION NOW]([link removed]
Part of this email action includes CAAT’s demand for a full two-way arms embargo on Israel. This remains one of CAAT’s key demands. Recent [data]([link removed])shows that UK arms imports from Israel increased from £55,000 in 2023 to almost £5.9 million in 2025. The flow of weapons must be stopped - in both directions.
[TAKE ACTION NOW]([link removed]
As always, thank you very much for supporting CAAT. Whether you can take part in email actions like this one, join CAAT at protests, spread the word about CAAT’s campaigns, or share CAAT research and social media posts - this all allows CAAT to continue to campaign for a world without the arms trade. Your donations, if you are in a financial position to be able to consider this, are hugely appreciated as well.
[KEEP CAAT CAMPAIGNING]([link removed]
Making your donation to CAAT by direct debit is a sustained way of helping CAAT plan for future campaigns. Any amount makes a big difference, and a monthly direct debit contribution can be stopped at any time. You can set one up by clicking the link above.
Thank you for your support in resisting the deadly arms trade,
Zoe and everyone at Campaign Against Arms Trade
