From Sara Gideon for Senate <[email protected]>
Subject Senator Collins is avoiding the Republican National Convention just like she avoided Trump the last time he came to Maine for a rally. It's all just political theater.

John,

Tomorrow night, President Trump will give his closing speech at the Republican National Convention -- but Senator Collins won't be there to see it.

Because Collins is avoiding the Republican National Convention, just like she avoided Trump the last time he came to Maine for a rally.

Mainers deserve better than a senator who refuses to stand up to Trump -- not voting with him when it counts and then hiding when it's politically advantageous.

That's why it's so important that we elect Democrat Sara Gideon to the U.S. Senate. So we have to ask:

Can Sara count on you to make a contribution to support her campaign for U.S. Senate today? Any amount you can afford makes a difference to our team.

Collins is trying to distance herself from Trump because her approval ratings are plummeting, but she can't hide her record:

Senator Collins voted with Trump 94 percent of the time in Congress, consistently supporting his right-wing judicial nominees like Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch, and voting in favor of his tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy and corporations.

At the end of the day, she'll always have his back -- so we have to replace her in the Senate.

Hopefully we can count on you to help us do it.

All our best,

Team Sara
