We normally try to limit the mail we send to your inbox, but these updates are important and we wanted to ensure you were able to take part in these actions.

AB 1436 is not a perfect piece of legislation. It is the result of our leaders having to act quickly to overcome the incompetence and neglect national Republican leadership has put us in. We cannot allow the eviction moratorium to expire, leaving hundreds of thousands out on the street (in the middle of a pandemic) with no options. We must act, both to prevent our homelessness and housing crisis from worsening, but also to protect the public health of our communities.

Please join OCYD in calling your State Senator to support AB 1436, reminding them that when home is the safest place, housing must be a public health priority. If you don't know who they are, you can find your State Senator here! ([link removed])
People for Housing - OC YIMBY is a non-partisan, housing advocacy organization dedicated to ending the housing shortage in Orange County. The "housing crisis" is an affordability crisis driven by a shortage of homes for individuals and families in Orange County. People for Housing - OC Yimby advocates for projects and policies that will increase the supply of the full range of housing opportunities, from permanent supportive housing, affordable and low-income housing, workforce housing, market rate, and "missing middle" housing.

We are inviting city council candidates in Orange County to respond to these questions and participate in our candidate forums. Don't miss out on these forums!
