But the current legislative record tells a different story.
As of the current Legisletter/Congress.gov tracker, Jonathan Jackson has sponsored *14 legislative items* since taking office — *13 bills, resolutions, concurrent resolutions, or joint resolutions, plus 1 House amendment*.
That does *not* include the 1,035 items he has co-sponsored.
I am talking only about the legislation he personally sponsored.
And here is the reality:
*None of the sponsored bills or resolutions listed as his own have become law.*
Most are still sitting in committee.
The furthest-moving items appear to be *H.R. 1998* , the Sanction Sea Pirates Act of 2025, which reached the Senate and was referred to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and *H.R. 8934* , the *Sanction Sea Pirates Act of 2024* , which was ordered to be reported by voice vote.
*Meanwhile, families in IL-01 are dealing with real problems right now:*
* Pharmacy closures.
* Rising property taxes.
* Unsafe neighborhoods.
