John,
We are committed to staying in the fight for racial justice and equality. AFGE proudly supports the Nation Action Network and the NAACP's upcoming rally and demonstration on the 57th anniversary of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave his historic 'I Have A Dream' speech.
We encourage AFGE leaders and activists to attend the events related to this call to action. I am honored to be speaking at the historic march on August 28.
AFGE's march contingent will meet up starting at 7:00 a.m. ET on Friday, August 28 at the United Unions building, 1750 New York Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20006. We will then begin walking to the march location at 8:45 a.m. ET.
