Mendota's 250th Celebration

Sibley Historic House; Free
In honor of America’s 250th birthday this year, the Sibley Historic Site is offering FREE admission on July 4th! Featuring guided tours, birthday cake, games, crafts and more. Spots are limited, registration is required for guided tours.
Mendota Heights Fireworks & Food Trucks
Saturday, July 4 | 7-10:30 p.m.
Mendakota Park
Tailgate the fireworks at Mendakota Park with two food trucks featured from 7:00-9:30 p.m; Twin Cities Tacos and The Soda Fountain. Buy dinner and enjoy a fireworks show starting promptly at 10:00 p.m.!

Xcel Logo
Power Outages
During a power outage, Xcel's linemen and tree crews work 24/7 until power is fully restored. When restoring power, crews are directed to the most critical areas first.
The best thing any customer can do during an outage is make sure the outage is reported. Customers can also visit the Xcel Energy website to track their outage and estimated restoration time.

Municipal Campus Building Project [ [link removed] ]
Municipal Campus Building Project
Mendota Heights is planning for a new City Hall and Police Station building. Project details and design will be developed throughout 2026, with anticipated construction beginning in 2027. The new facility is scheduled to open in fall of 2028.
In response to community feedback to reduce the scope and cost of the project, at the June 16th City Council Work Session, the City Council gave direction to revise the project scope to meet current needs with options for future expansion. Staff are currently reviewing project designs to adjust to the revised scope.

Cell Tower Conditional Use Permit Status Update
The application from Buell Consulting (The Towers LLC) for a Conditional Use Permit for a new wireless monopole at Wentworth Park has been tabled by the Planning Commission. The City is waiting for revised plans and will schedule the application on a future Planning Commission meeting date.

Join us for the City's traveling program that brings recreation to local neighborhood parks and facilities. Staff will set up equipment for youth to enjoy. There will be games, sports, arts, crafts, and more! Supervision is only provided for the hour-long program.
