Hi john,
These four years have felt like decades, or at least 23 years — which is also how many states currently restrict abortion access [[link removed]] . We’ve seen abortion bans, hospital parking lot horror stories, and lawmakers doing everything in their power to take away the will of the people. But we’ve also seen immense outpourings of people power, positivity, and pro-abortion vibes. And YOU — yes, you! Reading this right now! — are a huge part of that. THANK YOU! Now, let’s carry that energy into the coming years and arm ourselves with all the facts and all the ways you can keep fighting back!
Soylent Green is People, And IVF-cicles Are Children
That’s right, The Supreme Chud in Charge has decreed that YES! Frozen embryos are children [[link removed]] and you can adopt them! No, it’s not the plot of the latest A24 horror flick, it’s the real, actual manifestation of the anti-abortion movement’s sickest dreams and most disgusting hopes: creating fetal personhood. Fetal personhood opens the door to banning all abortion and contraception. But it’s not all bad news, it might also mean anyone bearing quadruplets is a basketball team. Swoosh!
Missouri: Less Misery And More Mifepristone
A judge in the Show Me state stood on business and ruled that the state’s abortion restrictions violated their constitutional amendment ensuring Missourians right to abortion care. BOOM, BABY!!!! That has providers eager to get back in the game offering medication abortion with telemedicine [[link removed]] .
Photo of an elderly woman sitting outdoors beside a younger woman. A caption above the older woman reads, “In my day we had a constitutional right to abortion access.” A caption near the younger woman replies, “Sure, Grandma, let’s get you to bed.” The meme uses irony to highlight how recent generations may find it hard to believe that abortion access was once protected as a constitutional right in the United States. We had to bring in the heaviest hitter for this week’s Dobbs anniversary podcast.
New Feminist Buzzkills Episode: Drops TODAY!

On the left is an illustrated portrait of Moji Alawode-El with short natural hair and a red top. On the right is Lizz Winstead with long white hair, red glasses, and a blue and teal outfit. Both have yellow name tags below their illustrations. On the right, the Feminist Buzzkills Podcast neon-style logo is prominently displayed against a dark starry background. [[link removed]]
Your Buzzkills have the perfect guest for this horribleversary — journalist and author of Killers of Roe, Amy Littlefield [[link removed]] . Amy breaks down for Lizz and Moji the deep cuts and the backroom buffoons who, for 50 years, were plotting and scheming the obliteration of Roe. Killers of Roe is a great read and great education of exactly who laid the foundation of our crumbling reproductive house.
Promotional graphic for the Feminist Buzzkills Podcast. The podcast logo appears on the left above the words “Special Guest” and “Friday, June 26.” In the center is a portrait of Amy Littlefield wearing a purple shirt. On the right, text identifies her as author of Killers of Roe and abortion access correspondent for The Nation.
