This is unprecedented: instead of agreeing on a party platform that takes into account the diverse perspectives of the country and addresses the real issues Americans are facing, Republicans caved into the demands of their authoritarian leader and decided to forgo an official platform in favor of showing “strong support for President Donald Trump and his Administration.” It’s obvious: Republicans are not ready to meet this moment.
