Hello,

On Sunday, news broke that a Kenosha, Wisconsin police officer shot Jacob Blake in the back seven times at point blank range. Jacob's in stable condition, but he is paralyzed from the waist down. His life will never be the same and Black people continue to be terrorized by images of our brothers and sisters enduring senseless injustices.

This can't keep happening, friend.

As the mother of two Black boys, I am terrified. We can't stop fighting until justice is served, not just for Jacob and his three little boys who witnessed their dad getting shot, but for the countless Black men and women whose lives have been taken or torn apart because of police brutality.

The police officer who shot Jacob seven times in the back is supposed to protect the community he serves. So I have to ask: Who was that officer protecting? The officer responsible must be held accountable.

That's why we started the Justice For All Action Fund. Together, we are working to elect more representative leaders to the criminal justice system, to promote community policing, to appoint special prosecutors for all officer use of force cases, and to convict police for use of excessive force and murder at the same level as civilians.
